Join our Giving Community and Help Us Feed the County!

For more than 20 years, Feed the County has been a campaign spearheaded by Aroostook Savings & Loan, WAGM-TV and Catholic Charities Maine with a collaborative mission to increase awareness of the hunger issue in our communities and to assist in collecting food and monetary donations to help those in need. Since inception of the campaign, the three organizations have worked together to coordinate and promote food drives and community fundraising events.

Feed the County and Catholic Charities Maine has become the primary hunger relief organization in Aroostook County, distributing food to more than 28 food pantries serving more than 28,000 people.  Each month, the two Food Banks in Caribou and Monticello are filled and emptied – so we always need your help!

How Can You Help?

Donate
A gift of $100 provides 300 meals – enough to help feed a family of 3 in need for a month.

• Donate by mail. Checks are payable to Feed The County and send to:

• Donate in person at any Aroostook Savings & Loan branch or Threads of Hope Thrift Store in Monticello, Presque Isle and Caribou.

Volunteer
Your generous donation of time and talent makes an impact in the fight against hunger. Contact your local Food Pantry. They may need your help sorting and packing food. Also check out other volunteer opportunities at Catholic Charities Maine.

Raise Funds
Monetary donations are the most efficient way to support your local Food Banks. For every dollar you raise and donate, Feed The County can provide 3 healthy meals to children and families facing hunger. Ask your friends to make a financial gift for your birthday, wedding or other special event.
